Fulfilling Our Mission/Mass Care
Sunday, May 15, 2010
9:00am - 3:00pm
Fulfilling Our Mission teaches students how they can take their compassion and turn it into community action through Red Cross volunteering. This class will also teach students about the mission of the Red Cross and how, as a volunteer, you can support it and become involved.
Mass Care educates new volunteers on the basics of caring for large numbers of people which is what the Red Cross does best in times of disaster.
Shelter Operations explains the procedures of opening, operating, and closing a shelter.
Shelter Simulation prepares volunteers to effectively and sensitively manage shelter operations as a team, to meet the needs of people displaced as a result of a disaster.
